We went in for our second ultrasound today to check Baby Madson’s growth. The ultrasound tech said things looked good. We will know more detailed information when we meet with the dr next week and the final report has been finished. We are back to October 26th as the due date. The ultrasound tech said they go by the first ultrasound from the first trimester because that is more accurate. The dates given in later ultrasounds are usually off by one to two weeks. In other words, it’s a guessing game! J She kept sticking her tongue out at us, which is par for the course! We needed to get a better look at her heart but whenever we were able to see it Baby Madson thought it would be fun to move her arm to cover her heart. She is butt down with her arms and legs by her face. It doesn’t seem like the most comfortable position, but she stayed there the whole time and didn’t move. She has plenty of time to move to be head down and not breech, but with our luck and her sassiness she will stay in this position. Obviously she can be not be delivered naturally this way and it will have to be done by C-Section. Kory and I are going to have a chat with her that she needs to change positions. She also preceded to use me as her punching and kicking bag for the rest of the day. She REALLY does not like to spied on!
After 16 years, we are having to put Sophi to sleep. She has been very sick the last few days and just isn't bouncing back. The vet said its really our only option. We are very sad to have to make this decision but we know that it's what's best for her. It's not fair to keep her alive just because we don't want to make a difficult decision. This has been very hard on me since I have had her since I was a little kid. I just can't imagine what it will be like to not have her around. I know that it is best that this is happening before the baby comes, but it doesn't make it any easier.
